It's Year of the Pig and these cute little porkers are excited to celebrate!

Today marks the beginning of Chinese New Year!

The annual celebration runs for 15 days, with a multitude of events and activities held across the region and all over the world.

What is Chinese New Year?

A celebration of the start of Spring in China as well as the beginning of good planting, harvesting and fresh starts – Chinese New Year is all about a positive outlook for the year ahead.

Year of the Pig 2019

Those born under the pig symbol are said to have a “beautiful personality and are blessed with good fortune in life”.

Recent years of the pig include 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019.

Pigs are also known for their enthusiasm, being energetic and enjoying life.
