Bundaberg is heading for a scorcher next week if the forecast proves correct and records could tumble.
The seven-day outlook from the weather bureau predicts a top temperature of 35 on Tuesday and 37 on Wednesday, 13 February.
The long-term average maximum for February is 30 degrees.
The highest-ever February temperature recorded was 37.7 on 9 February 2002.
Bundaberg’s hottest day ever was 38.5 on 6 March 2017.
