Surfers took to the waves at Bargara today, hoping that Tropical Cyclone Oma would spice up conditions at local beaches.
Although there were some good waves early this morning, lunchtime surfers at high tide were left disappointed as only medium waves were encountered.

Surf Life Saving Queensland has recommended that people stay away from beaches south of Hervey Bay, but beaches in the Bundaberg Region remain open.
