Gin Gin Police had to deal with a rather slippery character recently.
Constable Brendan Cullen was collecting something from the police vehicle when he almost stood on a huge snake sprawled across the garage floor.
The snake didn’t like this close encounter and took refuge in the station equipment room.
It became clear that there was no way out for the scaly fiend, so officers shut the door, using a towel to block the gap underneath.
Enter the local snake catcher who came to the rescue and located the intruder coiled up under a filing cabinet.
The offending reptile was relocated to the bush, last seen slithering off into the sunset.
