Pencil this date in your diary: Tickets for the region’s most sought-after picnic will be available on 29 April.
Blankets and hay bales will be dotted throughout the macadamia grove as guests enjoy a Farm Flavours Picnic hamper filled to the brim with delicious local produce from HSG at the Gardens.
From delectable seafood to moorish nibbles the hamper is sure to tantalise the taste buds. Four savoury platters are included with an extra something sweet to top it off.
This year’s event, which forms part of Taste Bundaberg Festival, will be held from 11am to 2pm on Sunday, 14 July.
Council’s Community and Cultural Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said anyone interested in attending needed to act fast.
“Now in its sixth year, we have always had a terrific response to this event,” Cr Peters said.
“There are just 100 hampers available when tickets go on sale later this month.
“The hampers always sell out fast but last year they sold out within 24 hours.
“It’s a wonderful afternoon that showcases the very best the Bundaberg Region has to offer. From the beautiful scenery to the locally inspired produce and entertainment the Farm Flavours Picnic is a delight for the senses.”
All funds raised from the event will be donated to a local charity.
Tickets for the picnic are $85 and go on sale at 9am on Monday, 29 April. The price includes a hamper for two. Children’s hampers can be purchased for $10.
They will be available by calling 4130 4100 or in person at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.
The event is being held at Macadamias Australia which is a sponsor of the event along with Bundaberg Now.
