With the weekend fast approaching it is refreshing to know that one of Bundaberg's own, The Brass Monkeys, will be playing this Friday from 7.30pm at the South Kolan Hotel.
If you know of the band, then we won’t need to explain the multiple musical styles that you are likely to hear during their show.
For those seeing the Brass Monkeys for the first time, you will be entertained by the sheer energy of front man Barry Franklin, dazzled by Floyd's guitar prowess and amazed at Tony Brown’s ability to play any musical instrument.
Brass Monkeys are complete entertainers
The Brass Monkeys have been playing around Bundaberg for many years and have gained a reputation of being complete entertainers and a band to look forward too.
Over the years the band has had some lineup changes, and some additions to their ranks.
In spite of or perhaps because of this, the band has grown in versatility and now can offer everything from a one man show to a seven-piece showband.
As a seven-piece, the band does a fantastic tribute show that features seven music legends, they can seamlessly become the perfect party band and effortlessly be the ultimate Sunday session band to sit back and relax, with music you can appreciate.
If you haven’t seen The Brass Monkeys or you haven’t caught them in a long time, you are missing out on what could easily be described as a Bundaberg Musical Institution.
We highly recommend you get out and see these guys either this Friday at the South Kolan Hotel or next week when the show band features at Across the Waves Sports Club.
You will not be disappointed.
