READY TO WALK: Bundaberg RSPCA volunteer Kim Tsaksson is ready to take Princess for a 4km walk for a good cause.

The tails were wagging with excitement for Bundaberg Region pooches as their paws hit the pavement for RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk.

Dog lovers turned out in droves for the annual event which raises money for the animal organisation.

Bundaberg RSPCA volunteer Kim Tsaksson, with Princess her pup by her side, said events like this supported the organisation in a variety of ways.

She said it wasn't just an opportunity to raise vital funds but also to help spread the message of looking after your pet.

“I’ve been volunteering for eight months and love every minute,” Kim said.

“I clean cages, bath, walk and most importantly play with the dogs.”

Bundaberg RSPCA's Donna Wolgast said the turn out was tremendous.

“It's a great turn out and I thank everyone who has come along this morning,” Donna said.
