The Bundaberg Region has received $11.61 million in round three of the Works for Queensland program announced this week by the Queensland Government.

Mayor Jack Dempsey welcomed the funding announcement for projects to be completed over the next two years.

“This funding will allow Council to progress a number of projects right across the region,” Mayor Dempsey said.

“The Bundaberg Region has been fortunate enough to also be included in the first two rounds of Works for Queensland funding.

“Those rounds delivered terrific outcomes including the Norville Pool water play areas and the Eggmolesse Street extension.

“Programs like this where we can work with other levels of government to fund community infrastructure upgrades across the region are really a win-win for residents.”

The projects are required to be completed by June 2021.
