The region's smallest and youngest residents are set for a happy occasion when the 2019 Welcome Baby Celebration begins next month.
The annual event is part of Flourish Family Fun Day at Boreham Park.
Bundaberg Regional Council's Community and Cultural Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said registrations were now open and families are urged to sign up for the event.
“The Welcome Baby Celebration is an opportunity to formally introduce and welcome your baby as a valued member of the Bundaberg Region Community,” Cr Peters said.
“Registration is open to any Bundaberg region child who will be 15 months or younger on the day of the celebrations on July 4.
“I would encourage anyone interested in participating in Welcome Baby to register as soon as possible to avoid missing out.”
Free community event
Cr Peters said the celebration was free and each registered child will receive a “Baby Loves Bundaberg” pack and an acknowledgement certificate signed and presented by the Mayor.
“Families can then stay on for a day of activities at the Flourish Family Fun Day event,” Cr Peters said.
“There will be plenty to see and do, including family-related service providers on hand to discuss all your needs.”
Welcome Baby registrations close on 26 June.
