There will be many memories shared between old mates tomorrow when former Kepnock State High School students attend a 30-year reunion.

The 1989 graduates will gather at One Nightclub on Saturday evening to catch up and reminisce about their school days.

Organiser Shelley Pisani said the last reunion for this particular group was held 20 years ago.

“So there are a lot of life stories to share,” she said.

The Kepnock 30-year reunion event was organised after the passing of a friend stirred the memories of former students.

“A dear school friend passed away last year, drawing many of us together again through social media,” she said.

“It inspired us to organise this reunion and celebrate the good old days.

“Over 70 of us are gathering with one international and many interstate and Queensland wide travellers, coming back to Bundaberg for this event.”

The group was also touring Kepnock State High School on Friday afternoon, where the group said the Kepnock band “Who Cares?” won Battle of the Bands 30 years ago.
