Conditions were perfect for the Farm Flavours picnic among the macadamia trees near Bundaberg today.

About 350 people enjoyed hampers of local produce while chatting with friends and listening to live music.

Tickets for the popular event at Macadamias Australia sold out within 30 minutes several weeks ago.

Organisers can't expand numbers for Farm Flavours Picnic Bundaberg but they're considering a second event next year if sponsorship can be found.

Picnic goers were treated to local produce including seafood, processed meats, vegetables, dips, cheese, fudge and of course macadamias.

It was one of the “coldest” days of the year, with the maximum temperature just nudging 20 degrees, but shade was popular around the middle of the day as southerners shiver in Antarctic conditions.

Farm Flavours was part of Taste Bundaberg.
