Police and QFES personnel opened the Gin Gin driver reviver site on Friday during Road Safety Week to help combat fatigue on the Bruce Highway.
The site provided motorists travelling up and down the Bruce Highway a safe and relaxing place to stop.
Police from Gin Gin and Bundaberg, along with Queensland Fire and Emergency Service and Department of Transport and Main Roads members, were on hand to talk and provide road safety information and giveaways.
Crime Stoppers and Volunteers in Policing (ViPs) also attended to cook up a storm with a free sausage lunch and tea and coffee.
Kids were also treated to free biscuits, stickers and had the chance to look inside a police vehicle and fire truck.
