If you thought today was warm, you’re right. Bundaberg came within a degree of recording its hottest ever September day.

The temperature on Thursday at Bundaberg Airport edged over 33 degrees at 12.30pm.

The mean maximum temperature in September is 25.6 and the highest ever recorded was 34.1 degrees on 30 September 2017.

Despite the daytime heat, overnight temperatures have remained cool due to dry and still conditions.

This morning it was 9 degrees at 5am and tomorrow is forecast to have a minimum of 10 degrees before warming up to 31.

The mean minimum temperature for Bundaberg in September is 13.7 degrees.

The wind is expected to pick up on Saturday with possible raised dust.
