Followmont Transport has opened a Bundaberg depot on Activity Street in Svennson Heights.
The company's Queensland general manager Chris Knuth says the new depot will benefit regional customers with an improved personalised customer service.
“We now have 100 per cent control of customers' freight, in and out of the region, and customers now have direct access to our network and services throughout Queensland and NSW, which is a big win for both Followmont and our customers,” he said.
“After much consultation, the decision to launch in Bundaberg was an easy one.”
Mentioning steady growth in the region, Chris said it was “a desire to have better controls and systems in place to service customers in the Bundaberg area”.
Followmont is the preferred carrier for many household names, including Mitre 10, Repco, Australia Post and Dulux.
With an already extensive network of Queensland depots and agents, the Bundaberg depot allows Followmont Transport to deliver directly more quickly.

With the addition of the Bundaberg Depot, Followmont Transport now employs more than 800 staff members, travels more than 120,000km every night and has over 30 depot locations across Queensland and NSW.
