Antonio Kaufusi looks at the results of the first finals week and says the Roosters “look the goods”.

Big Shout out to Brothers for beating my team Across the Waves in the local Rugby League grand final last Saturday night.

It was a tough game and credit to Brothers who eventually won 32-28.

To my boys heads up, could not fault your effort in that game. A very proud coach!!!

We look at the results of the first finals week and the Roosters look the goods. Their demolition of the Bunnies was near perfect and no surprise that they are through to the preliminary final.

What a game it was against the Storm and Raiders, full credit to the Raiders for playing a full 80 mins against the Storm.

The Storm have to go the long way round if they want to play in the grand final.

Manly signaled that they are a force to be reckoned with, after disposing of the Sharks quite easily.

If they beat Souths, they have been a bogey team for the Raiders having already beaten them twice and at the Raiders home ground only a month ago.

Eels put on the biggest score in finals history against the Broncos who did not look like they wanted to be there and now all the reports of players being out on the pokies have only put the microscope on the players, definitely unwanted attention that will circle in the media well into pre-season.

My match of the round is the Eels taking on the mighty Storm down in Melbourne.

Eels coming off that great win and Storm reeling from that loss.

Mitchell Moses in career best form leading the league in try assists.

It’s a big test for the Eels against the Storm. I didn’t want to bring it up but the last time these two teams met was way back in magic round in round 7.

Eels came off a great win against the Dragons and the Storm lost to the Sharks the week before.

Magic round the Storm come out and belted the Eels 64-10. So if the Eels are the real deal they need to win this game, but for me, Storm will be seething and ready to reek havoc.

Loving how Manly is playing, even though Manly and Dragons are the two teams I hate the most, I’m backing them to do the job against Souths who get back their inspirational leader Sam Burgess.

Kaufusi’s Call:

Storm V Eels
Souths V Manly
