The school holidays are almost here and Animania in the Park is sure to help keep the kids entertained.

The Moncrieff Entertainment Centre and Bundaberg Regional Libraries have teamed up again to provide another free community event during the holiday season.

Animania is set to be another fun, engaging experience for children and families, with animals being the central theme for this holiday event.

Council Community and Cultural Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said everyone was invited to attend the Animania in the Park event.

“Animals will be the flavour of the day, with the guarantee of plenty of free activities and play opportunities for families,” Cr Peters said. “We are even hoping to have a very special visitor from the zoo!”

There will be lots of creative fun, a pop-up reading corner, sensory activities, colouring stations and more animal themed goodness.

“Then, as the day starts to heat up the free film at Moncrieff Entertainment Centre will be a welcome retreat for families, and who can resist Puss in Boots?”

The film screening sound and lighting will be modified to create a friendly environment for patrons with sensory needs as well as being welcoming for little ones.

Cr Peters said the school holiday event catered to all abilities and was proud that Council was able to provide free holiday fun for the community.
