The second annual SES Awards and Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at the Bundaberg RSL.
Local Controller Kieran Galey said the awards are peer driven with presentations across four categories made on votes cast by SES members.
“Last year the inaugural awards saw Elliott Heads SES member Sharyn (Shazza) Kilby presented with the SES Unit Member of the Year.
“Sharyn had an outstanding year and was also awarded, along with fellow SES members Blake Hyde and Cameron Sage, special citations in recognition of their professionalism and bravery in assisting in a boat rescue off Elliott Heads in September 2017.”
“We also present awards for the Most Outstanding SES Group, Best Trainer and Inspiring Team Leader.”
Kieran said the awards evening was a great opportunity for members to get together in a relaxed atmosphere and to recognize the achievements of personnel across the local groups.
More than 70 SES members will be attending the presentation evening.
