Seniors Forum and Expo
Bookings are now open for displays at the Seniors Forum and Expo, following the success of last year's event

The combined 2020 Seniors Forum and Expo to be held at the Multiplex on Tuesday 17 March will be an ideal event for organisations and businesses which cater for seniors to be part of.

With a full program of guest speakers, the Forum and Expo provides the opportunity for organisations and businesses to showcase what they do for seniors across the region.

Over 550 people attended last year’s Seniors Forum and Expo and organisers are expecting even more this year.

Keynote speaker will be Robert Zillman, Assistant Director in Aged Care Regulation Queensland Branch from the Commonwealth Department of Health.

Interesting guest speakers continue through until 12.30pm, covering topics as varied as palliative care to power of attorney, from tai chi for arthritis to chair yoga.

At last year’s event there were 70 stalls and exhibits and organisers are hoping for as many this year.

Site dimensions are 3 metres x 3 metres and include one table and 2 chairs.

Cost per site is $27 for not for profit organisations and $44 for businesses.

Bookings close Friday 6 March

Bookings for stall holders at the Seniors Forum and Expo close Friday 6 March, with a number of options tailored to the organisation or business.

BreastScreen Queensland’s local team attended last year and will be going again this year.

Manager Dianne Dingle said there was a large participation from seniors.

“Last year, staff spoke to hundreds of ladies and handed out information about breast screening and sample bags,” Dianne said.

“BreastScreen staff will be in attendance again this year to speak with the public about the importance of breast screening and are able to make appointments at this expo.

“I would encourage other businesses to participate and get involved, it is a great event to be part of.”
