Police exercise pedal power over long weekend

Over the long weekend local police could not help but get out and about for some physical exercise.

With COVID-19 restrictions lifting, it was good news on all fronts with Senior Constable Ethan Ramsey and Constable Tai Burgess reporting no Coronavirus-related fines were handed out.

The officers were well received as they conducted bike patrols around Bundaberg’s parks and beaches, raising awareness of the current restrictions.

They asked members of the public to ensure they continue to apply social distancing measures and if in doubt, to look up the Chief Health Officer public health directives.

With further patrols to be conducted while restrictions are in place, be sure to say hi if you see them out and about.
