Taste of Bundaberg Show at Everfresh

Everfresh's Connor Dingle and Timeeka Jeffrey will be serving the community a selection of show food to keep in the spirit of the Bundaberg Show.

You may not be able to go to the Bundaberg Show on the show holiday but you can still experience the taste with Everfresh.

Everfresh Food Market in Woongarra Street is having an Everfresh Show Day celebration, complete with tradition favourites – popcorn, dagwood dogs, fairy floss and toffee apples.

Staff at Everfresh came up with the idea after lamenting the fact that they couldn’t enjoy a dagwood dog at this year’s Show.

“I was discussing how much I would miss indulging in a dagwood dog this year and thought there was something we could do about it,” manager Rod Keenan said.

“Dagwood dogs will be cooked fresh in their in-store cafe, along with our barista made Merlo Coffee for take-away service only.”

Rod said the Everfresh show food had already been a huge success.

“The fairy floss is absolutely flying out the door,” he said.

It wouldn’t be a show without children’s amusements, and the store has that covered by a colouring competition which runs until 3 June.

“So far we have handed out over 300 colouring in competition entry forms we look forward to seeing the artwork when the entries come in,” he said.

“They will be displayed at the front of the store and judged on 4 June.

“We look forward to presenting the winner with a $100 Toyworld gift card”.

Hot dagwood dogs will be available from 8am Thursday while stocks last.

“And all our other show food is available now, while stocks last,” Rod said. To find out the latest in the Everfresh Show Day celebration visit their Facebook page.
