Carla the rottweiler mix is a sensitive, shy, sweet girl looking for a calm home environment with an owner who will help her settle in.
Someone who can be home for the first few days and gradually work on leaving for longer and longer periods is recommended.
Carla will need to be left with enrichment to use while alone such as long lasting chews and toys.
Shwe would also love to be allowed indoors to be a part of the family.
Carla can be unsure in new environments and when meeting new people, so go slowly and let her approach or move away at her own discretion.
Having a place of her own to go to when feeling overwhelmed, such as a crate, mat or bed, will help her feel more settled and safe.
Carla does not like people leaning over her or cornering her so watch her body language and let her move away if she feels the need.
Carla loves her tennis ball! She will bounce around with it and bring it back to you.
She may sometimes need time out from playing as she can be a bit obsessed with the ball!
Carla will need to be your only dog as she is very worried when meeting other dogs and prefers to avoid them.
Carla is not suited to a home with children.
