Two Bundaberg region tourism operators will feature on the Queensland-wide Channel 10 News Weather reports this afternoon.
The live crosses will be held at Tinaberries, with Tina McPherson at 5:20pm and Brett Lakey of Lady Musgrave Experience at 5:55pm.
Bundaberg Tourism CEO Katherine Reid said it was a great opportunity to showcase our region.
“The purpose of the 10 News Weather reports is to showcase operators who are Good To Go across Queensland to encourage Queenslanders to get out and explore their home state,” Katherine said.
“The onsite weather reports have been arranged by Tourism and Events Queensland as part of the Good To Go marketing campaign, and Bundaberg Tourism is involved with full operational support.”
Tina McPherson from Tinaberries said she was looking forward to showing Queensland what we have.
“We are very excited about doing the weather cross this afternoon with Channel 10.
“It’s a great opportunity for our region to show the rest of the state that we are Good To Go and highlight what we have for people to explore in their own backyard!
“Here in the Bundaberg region there are some fabulous attractions that are open and ready to welcome visitors….and have their COVID safe plans in place.
“Naturally it’s a highlight of the strawberry season to be able to showcase our strawberries and our ice creams across the state.
“Locals already know how delicious the ice creams are and at times like this it’s great for us to share that with our visitors.
“It’s been a tricky year in many ways for many people and businesses, so silver linings like being able to welcome visitors to our region and show off both our natural wonders and our attractions is very special.”
Brett Lakey from Lady Musgrave Experience agreed.
“I’m looking forward to be able to promote what our region has to offer,” Brett said.
“I’ll be talking about our whale watching tours, Lady Musgrave tours and the dive tours to the Tobruk which are about to start,” Brett said.
“It will be great awareness to the whole Queensland market, especially this close to the final stage of our pontoon launch, which is very exciting.”
