The first annual Shift Automotive Christmas charity car and bike run was held last weekend with the colourful convoy providing valuable support for Angels Community Group.

Shift Automotive owners Brad and Kirstin Trimble organised the event held on 12 December to raise funds for the Angels Community Group Christmas Santa Appeal.

All proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the Bundaberg-based charity to help local kids and families in need.

Brad and Kirstin said after seeing the great work Angels Community Group was doing to help locals they just had to help them out and do their part.

“The cruise was a great morning out with a great group of people supporting a great cause,” Brad said.

“We thank everyone who came along and supported this event.

“We can’t wait to do it again next year!”

Donations of toys and food were collected at Shift Automotive at the beginning of the run.

A group of almost 50 vehicles ranging from old American classics, aussie muscle cars to modern performance street cars sports and motorcycles headed off on the cruise.

The convoy travelled from the Shift workshop just near Stocklands shopping centre out to Bargara, following the coast and finishing at Elliott Heads foreshore.

Almost $1500 worth of prizes where raffled off with anyone who donated getting a ticket in the draw.

Kirstin and Brad thanked multiple businesses who also helped by donating to the raffle.

Blake from InsaneGrunt Automotive Photography also donated his time to provide the event media coverage and a photoshoot voucher, and managed to snap an impressive gallery of pictures from the event.

The couple also wanted to provide a special mention to Paul at Style Inkorporated for a massive $500 worth of vouchers!

A full list of businesses who donated to the Shift Automotive charity run is available on their Facebook page.

Kirstin and Brad said the cruise was organized very quickly with the help of family and friends.
