Internationally acclaimed standup comedian Jimeoin will perform for one night only at Brothers Sports Club in Bundaberg on Sunday, 24 January.

Jimeoin is a prolific writer with exceptional audience rapport, who is well known for brilliant wit and eye-opening observations on the absurdities of everyday life.

Jimeoin tours take him worldwide, including regularly to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the mecca of comedy, Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival.

The comedy legend’s current Australian tour includes the Bundaberg appearance on Sunday.

Brothers Sports Club general manager Ross Dowd said he was elated to have someone of Jimeoin’s status visit Bundaberg, despite the challenges of the current pandemic.

“This is just what we need at the moment, a good laugh and distraction from the challenges we have experienced in the past 12 months,” Mr Dowd said.

“I was pleased Brothers was approached to host Jimeoin, and I jumped straight at the opportunity.

“I remember watching Jimeoin up to 25-years ago on The Footy Show, Rove Live and Good News Week.

“Now that he has grown into an internationally renowned comedian, it is an honour to host him at Brothers Sports Club, and I am certain it will be a great night.”

Special guest, Anthony Lamond, will support Jimeoin on Sunday.

Lamond is one of the hardest working comedians in Australia, who has shared the stage with Australian comedy’s elite, such as Dave Hughes, Fiona O’Loughlin, Chopper, Merrick Watts and more.

Tickets for the adults-only show can be purchased via www.trybooking.com/BNZGU. Doors open at 7.30pm.
