The new Bullyard Hall twilight markets will open this Saturday, 6 February, offering a relaxed, family atmosphere in the cool of the summer evening.

Bullyard Hall twilight markets coordinator Wendi Guy said the new markets were created to allow a relaxed, cooler atmosphere as they would run during the evening throughout summer and autumn, instead of the heat of the day.

“We are really excited to kick off the markets for the first time,” Wendi said.

“By changing the Bullyard Hall Markets to an evening it means stallholders can come from the Gin Gin Markets that run through the morning to open here as well.

“The markets are always quite popular and as we will have new stallholders, I expect it to continue to grow each month.”

Wendi said changing the time of the original markets to a later opening would also allow families with children who played sports of a Saturday morning the opportunity to head to the Bullyard Hall twilight markets to chill out and take in the cool atmosphere.

“There will be a big array of stores, from plants and preserves, and the hall will be filled with craft and delicate items,” she said.

“Live band Sticky Rock will be playing, so grab a drink and something to eat and tap your toes to the beat.

“Relax in our great friendly country atmosphere and make new friends.

“It’s really just a nice country atmosphere, that is also pet friendly – so a chance for all the family to get out of the house and enjoy the evening.”

The new twilight markets will also help raise money through the sale of food to upgrade the Bullyard Hall canteen building.

“At the moment we are trying to raise money to get a new canteen, and do up the building,” she said.

“We will be selling food, including steak burgers, hot dogs and toasted sandwiches, with the funds going to help.”

The first twilight markets to be held at Bullyard Hall will run from 3-7pm on Saturday, 6 February, and then continue the first Saturday of each month until winter. For more information check out the Bullyard Markets Facebook page.

The Bullyard Hall is located at 2359 Bucca Rd.
