Bundaberg Region youth can Skate with Mates these school holidays as part of Council-led Youth Month activities being hosted throughout the region this month.
The free events will be held from 1 – 4 pm on Tuesday 13 April in Childers and 9 am – 12 pm on Wednesday 14 April in Bargara.
Bundaberg Regional Council community services portfolio spokesperson Cr Tracey McPhee said all young people were welcome to join in and skate with the Redfrogs crew.
“All equipment is supplied at the Skate with Mates events which also include a free barbecue, giveaways and demonstrations,” Cr McPhee said.
“Young people can attend the events to enjoy time with their friends, make new connections and see what great services are on offer around the region.”
She said it was also an opportunity to learn about Council’s Youth Development Action Team and how to get involved.
“Youth Month is our chance to celebrate the important role young people play in our community,” Cr McPhee said.
“It’s essential that local youth feel connected to their community and understand the pathways open to them to positively contribute to the area.
“The Youth Development Action Team is open to any young people with a drive to make a difference in their local community.
“If that sounds like you then this is a great opportunity to have some fun at this free Skate with Mates event and get more information in the process.”
