The team at Hitz 93.9FM is celebrating the success of their radio shows after a recent survey revealed 37,400 listeners are tuning in each week.

Those stats saw Hitz 93.9 take out the number one position in breakfast, mornings, afternoons, drive, nights and weekends for audience groups aged 10+ and between 25 to 54 years old in the Bundaberg Region, according to statistics from the latest XTRA Insights survey.

General manager Corey Pitt said he was proud of the Bundaberg Broadcasters team and their commitment to the community.

“Our Leaders in Local strategy continues to be a winning formula in securing listeners and community engagement,” he said.

“We feel incredibly grateful to have so many people tune into the fun and frivolity of Matty and Trace each weekday morning, and for this we truly thank our listeners.”

Hitz sister station 4BU 1332 AM retained its number one commercial station title for listeners aged 45+ in the breakfast timeslot, and also number one in mornings and afternoons for people 45+.

“It’s great to see local content creators being rewarded for their commitment to their local community, I couldn’t be happier for the Bundaberg team getting rewarded for a job well done” Chris Ivers, NT/QLD Regional Content Director said.
