This Saturday, 14 August, the CQUniversity Bundaberg campus will invite prospective students to try out possible study options at a series of new and interactive open house events.
The Open House events have replaced the regular on-campus open days to ensure that participants get a more hand-on experience while also being COVID safe.
The events have been specifically designed to immerse guests in the course environments in which they would be studying, allowing them to experience campus facilities in a hands-on way.
CQUniversity’s Manager, Student Recruitment, Kylie Ciocca said that the format of the events would allow attendees a chance to explore study options and network with teaching staff, before making a decision on their course of study.
“This is the first time we have hosted prospective students on campus since the start of the pandemic, with last year’s events moving to an entirely virtual experience.
“This year’s open house events have the advantage of giving visitors a chance to explore our learning environments, while also spreading out crowds so there is plenty of room for people to explore in a safe and socially distanced way.
“Prospective students and their guests will also be able to interact directly with the teaching staff who will be delivering their classes next year, so we think this will really benefit attendees by helping them get a great understanding of university-life and what to expect from their chosen course,” said Ms Ciocca.
As well as providing a hands-on experience for future learners, attendees will also be able to sit in on info sessions about the application and enrolment process, key dates, scholarship options, and understanding university fees.
The Bundaberg CQUniversity open house will be held from 9 am to 11 am on Saturday 14 August 2021.
