Last week, Police Liaison Officer (PLO) Edy Gradowska visited Bears and Books Early Learning and Childcare Centre to speak with the children about how police keep people and the community safe.
PLO Edy spoke about how to identify a police officer and practiced their “big name” which is a very important skill!
The children were reminded to wear a helmet while riding their bikes, hold an adults hand and stop, look, listen and think when crossing the street.
They also talked about being safe in the car, always wearing a seatbelt and not distracting the adult who is driving.
After the chat, PLO Edy had the pleasure of appointing Bundaberg’s newest Junior Police Officer – Kai!
Kai’s birthday is in a few days and he loves police cars and playing police.
We hope that the new uniform and practicing his skills in the police car was tons of fun!
