Service station with drive through approved

Childers service station
A new development, featuring a service station, food outlet and drive through Pie Face has been given the green light.

A new service station development featuring a drive through Pie Face plus a separate food and drink outlet will be constructed in Childers after an application was recently approved.

Bundaberg Regional Council approved the development set to be constructed at 28696 Bruce Highway on the site historically known as Childers Central Caravan Park and Backpackers.

The applicant will reconfigure the land into two lots and two access easements.

Lot one will feature a United 24 service station with four general bowsers, providing eight general vehicle refuelling bays.

The development will also include two truck bowsers, a Quick Stop convenience shop and Pie Face food outlet with a six-car queue drive through.

Ten car parking spaces will also be provided around the service station facility.

Lot two will be developed into a separate food and drink outlet with a drive through with up to 15 car parking spaces on site.

The whole development will be able to be accessed centrally, with left and right turn permitted from the Bruce Highway and into the site.
