Pathway installation for Stewart Street, Childers

Stewart Street Childers
A new footpath will begin being constructed along Stewart Street in Childers next month.

Bundaberg Regional Council has begun constructing a new footpath along Stewart Street in Childers.

Stage 1 (in red on map) was planned to commence Tuesday 1 February with work to be undertaken weekdays, during the hours of 6am and 5pm.

Weather permitting, Stage 1 will be completed within two weeks.

Stages 2 and 3 (in yellow and green on map) will be a further two weeks.

During construction, the road will remain open with traffic management measures and appropriate signage to guide motorists through or around the site.

Bundaberg Regional Council is aware of the inconvenience construction work causes and thanks residents and road users in advance for their patience and co-operation.

The Stewart Street, Childers footpath installation project is a joint initiative of Bundaberg Regional Council and the Queensland Government.
