An afternoon of glamour is set to transform the Moncrieff in Rhonda Burchmore’s upcoming show Glamazonia, with audience members promised a show to remember.

The show, on Sunday, 10 April, will see Rhonda share songs, stories and secrets about surviving four decades in one of the world’s most formidable industries.

From London’s West End to the depths of the South African jungle, the Glamazonia herself will exhilarate audiences.

Rhonda said she loved visiting Bundaberg, encouraging the audience to come out and enjoy the show.

“I am sure everyone would agree we have spent enough time on the couch watching Netflix over the past two years, it is now time to get out and support the live entertainment industry!” Rhonda said.

“The show is a celebration of all things good in the world.

“It is all about girl power and survival, and telling stories from the past 40 years that I have survived in the show biz industry.”

Those who have previously attended the show love it, as Rhonda said they leave with smiles from ear to ear.

“I just want to make people feel good and look at the good things in life, because there is always so much focus on the bad,” she said.

“I think I will hopefully make the audience laugh and cry, it is quite exhilarating the whole show and while I am exhausted afterwards, seeing the smiles on all the faces is great.

“The show is a beautiful distraction from reality and most people remember me from my first foray into television which was variety shows back in the '80s, so a bit of that shines through in this show.

“It is also all about telling stories for my time in the West End of London and done so with the support of my amazing band and dancers.”

With a love for the Bundaberg Region, Rhonda said she is looking forward to being back performing at the Moncrieff, not letting anything get in her way of making it here.

“I visited Bundaberg a couple of years ago with a show called ABBAsoloutley Fabulous and although I had never visited before, I had the best trip,” she said.

“The whole vibe made me feel so welcome so when we had the opportunity to come up to the Moncrieff again I said yes, let’s go!

“Last time, our flight got cancelled and so we drove from Brisbane in a cab to make sure we could get there to perform, so there is no way a little old Covid will stop me this time!”

Featuring icons of pop music, Rhonda will interpret hits like Katy Perry's Roar, Helen Reddy’s I Am Woman, Cher’s If I Could Turn Back Time and Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive for a musical extravaganza unlike any other.

Glamazonia is an all ages and family friendly event, starting at 3pm with tickets available for purchase here.

There are VIP Tickets available for the show which include Premium A-Reserve seating, drinks, canapes, a photo with Rhonda and a Q&A Session.
