The Burnett Bowls Club held their Inaugural Ballistic Beer Co $15,000 Men’s Prestige Triples at Burnett Bowls Club last weekend, with a great weekend had by all.
Burnett Bowls Club Chairman Des Kemp said the event saw 96 competitors take part in the competition, with everyone enjoying the weekend.
“It was a fantastic event and a great weekend; everyone was extremely happy and all the competitors played very well,” Des said.
“Although this was the first event we have had of this size, we are already looking forward to running it again next year!”

Pennant 2022 – the District Pennant Competition commences this weekend and Burnett has a team in all 5 Divisions. Thank you to those members playing Pennant for supporting your Club and we wish you good bowling and good luck for the weekend.

Tuesday 26th July: $300 Open Triples (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed) 1pm start, names by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm. the 1 bowl Jackpot is currently $120
Wednesday 27th July: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15pm with games starting at 6.30pm. green fees are $8 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prizemoney. All ability levels welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 28th July: ‘Thirsty Thursday’ Open Pairs. 3pm start, names by 2.30pm. Free drink (Sponsored) included in green fees. Games will finish at 5pm with two random lucky draws as prizes.
Thursday 28th July: Night Bowls – bowls starts at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot which is currently $515+. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made feel very welcome.
Friday 29th July: Open Pairs (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed) 1pm start, names by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm. The 1 bowl Jackpot will be played after the game.
Saturday 30th July: Round 1 of the District Pennant Competition. Rinks will be available for social bowls. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1 pm start.

Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 10am – 9pm, Thursday 11am – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night at 7pm. The Members Draw us now at $70 so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
Live entertainment for this Friday night the 29th July will be Peter Sajko and the following Friday the 5th August, live music will be delivered by ‘The Other Bloke’. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.
