A playground upgrade at Avondale Recreational Reserve has been completed with work now set to commence on a new toilet facility.
The project was identified to replace the existing playground that had reached the end of its useable life.
The work on the playground started in early 2022, with the upgrade including new play equipment for children such as climbing nets, bridges, and a swing set.
Installing new Council infrastructure ensures this project supports the recreation needs for the surrounding community and visitors.
New toilet facility to be installed
The next upgrade for the recreational reserve includes installing a new single cubicle disability compliant unisex toilet facility.
The work on the toilet facility is set to commence later this year.
The work will be completed as part of Bundaberg Regional Council’s Parks, Sport & Natural Areas Capital Works Program 2022 – 2023.
