The supper room is located on the corner of Maryborough and Woongarra Streets, with entry from Buss Park adjacent to Council buildings.

Howard Kingston, Chairman of the Bundaberg Anglican Men’s Society said the groups participating were Bundaberg branches of Anglican Men’s Society (AMS) and Mothers’ Union (MU) as well as West Bundaberg Parish members.

“The general manager of AMS Queensland suggested that local AMS branches might sponsor this sort of event as a contribution to Seniors’ month,” Howard said.

“We would hope that seniors who might be seeking social contact will come and meet others in a very informal space.

“AMS already provide a weekly smoko on a Friday morning where anyone can come and have a cuppa and a chat.

“This event for seniors will be held in parallel with that.”

The society facilitate a number of activities within the community including the annual Lenten Soup Night.
