Attention News:

Bundaberg Bowls Club Trivia Night on Friday 25th November 2022. The Trivia Night was very successful. Many thanks to members who helped and made up tables for the night. A big Thank You to Joan Jones and her sister for conducting the Event.

Donations for our Continuous Christmas Raffle are now being accepted and Tickets are being sold now.

Tuesday 23.11.2022:

Today we had the exciting final of the Open Women’s Consistency, played between two of our top players.

Fiona Dowling and Donna Smith battled it out with Fiona taking the game by 10 points.
Both these Ladies are an inspiration for their dedication to their sport and their sportsmanship both on and off the greens.

Good to see so many men on the green having a day out.
That’s what Mens Social bowls is all about, getting together with your men friends, having a laugh and a good time, and yes rolling down some bowls, some good, some bad but at the end of the day all good friends with a drink in the Club.

Not usually a bowls competition day but today we had the final of the mens B Grade Triples between Team Robbo and Team Ensbey.
Another great game played with some fabulous shots rolled down.
Also good to see teams with experienced players picking up new bowlers and giving them a go.
Dean Kulbars in team Robbo and Greg McLaughan in team Ensbey, both new bowlers, both played some great shots.

Well some of us made it out onto the green this afternoon after a very successfully Presentation Night last night at the Club.
Great night: good food, good company, good entertainment and for those of us fortunate enough to be winners, good prizes!

SOCIAL BOWLS EVENTS

Tuesday 29th November: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1 pm start. The 2 bowl ‘Toucher Jackpot’ is currently $270.
Wednesday 30th November: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15pm with games starting at 6.30pm. Green fees are $8 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prizemoney. All ability levels are welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 1st December: ‘Thirsty Thursday’ Open Pairs. 3pm start, names by 2.30pm. Free drink (Sponsored) included in green fees. Games will finish at 5pm with two random lucky draws as prizes.
Thursday 1st December: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.
Friday 2nd December: Open Pairs (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed) 1pm start, names by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm. Enjoy some social bowls with the chance to win the Friday Jackpot which is $500.

Wednesday 30th November: Ham Wheel starting at 6.30pm. Come along to the Club and enjoy a meal and try your luck in the Ham Wheels. 3 prizes per spin. Hams supplied by Kens Kepnock Butchery.
Sunday 4th December: Cookies Memorial Ham Day – Open Triples – Self-selected. Members from other Clubs are most welcome. Continuous Raffle (15+ prizes) and plenty of hams as bowls prizes, so come along and enjoy a morning of social bowls with the chance to win some great prizes. Sheet at the Club to place your entry or phone the Club during opening hours. Bowls 9.30am – 12pm.
Saturday 10th December: $400 ‘Fair Play’ Day – Sponsored by Wally Rozynski and Des Kemp.
Saturday 17th December: Men’s Section AGM – 10.30am
Saturday 17th December: Whalley Sponsored ‘Break Up’ Day – Open Triples with plenty of Hams as prizes. Free steak burger after the game as well as some great raffle prizes to be won.

CLUB NEWS

Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 10am – 9pm, Thursday 11am – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night at 7pm. The Member’s Draw is now at $410, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
Live entertainment for this Friday night the 2nd December will be ‘The Other Bloke’ and the following Friday the 9th December, live music will be delivered by Bradz Rock N Rhythms. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.
