Patroness Pairs Day:
Today we were honoured to have our Patroness Pat Royan with us for the afternoon.
Two games of three bowl pairs, 15 ends each with a lovely afternoon tea to follow.
Thanks Pat and Rob for your generous sponsorship, and support over the years.
For those who are unaware, Pat and Rob were original members of the bowls club when it all began almost 50 years ago.
Rob is still bowling three sometimes four times a week, sadly Pat has hung up her Uniform for good due to health issues.
Winners paid down to fifth place:
L. Fiona Dowling
S. Rhonda Byrnes
L. Daphne Brettell
S. Marilyn Mullins
L. Dennis Smith
S. Jacquie Rogerson
L. Marjo Greiner
S. Donna Smith

A lovely afternoon of fun and fellowship was had by all!
Lots of men out enjoying the near perfect conditions today.
The wind of the weekend seems to have gone and the green was running to perfection thanks to our green keeper Brian and his able assistant Oyster, well done men!

Rink draw Winners:
L. Denis Smith
- Donna Smith
S. Oyster Dowling.
Rink draw Winners:
L. Jane Herd-Evans
S. Gordon Nuttall.
Today we played the first games on our newly reconditioned green, to be honest we all expected it to be heavy but it wasn’t, it was amazing to play on!
Nothing but good comments and praise for our green keeper Brian, his sidekick Oyster and the team of volunteers who helped out when called upon to do so.
A fabulous day was had by all who came for our Ham day, with 18 hams up for grabs, 15 for the bowls results and 3 for the well supported raffle.
Ray Henderson, Lorelle Mattson and Cheryl Goodhew were the lucky raffle winners, taking home a rather tasty looking ham.
We also opened the “woofer “ tin which contained $384.40!
President Wayne was a bit concerned about the missing 60cents which resulted in much laughter and good fun!
The closest guess board was won by Ian Kirby taking home the $100 prize money, with Robyn Bishop and George Weir tied for second receiving $50 each.
The tin contents will be donated to a charity to be decided at a later date.
Thanks to all who supported this bit of fun.
:Just saying….that’s an awful lot of wrong biases men, the Ladies tin held less than half that amount!!
Rink draw winners, much anticipated with three hams on offer:
L. Jesse James
- Wayne Stanley
S. Ray Henderson
L. Gordon Ibbertson
- Meredith Taylor
S. Col Ensby
We then had a random Skip, Second and Lead for both winners and losers.
Skip: Lyall Brettell
