The festive season is business as usual for Bundaberg Regional Council’s kerbside bin collection team.
Waste and Recycling portfolio spokesperson Cr Tanya McLoughlin said kerbside bin collections would continue as per normal but residents could help staff get home sooner during this special time.
“Our dedicated waste and recycling team don’t stop for the Christmas and New Year period,” Cr McLoughlin said.
“What that means is that collection days remain unchanged for residents even if their bin day falls on a public holiday.
“However, collections do start earlier than normal on these special days in particular to allow our staff to get home to their families sooner.
“As such we ask residents to please ensure their bins are placed on the kerbside for collection on the night before their collection day during the festive season.”
All Council waste facilities will continue to operate as normal during the festive season, with the exception of Christmas Day. All Bundaberg Regional Council waste facilities will be closed 25 December 2022.
