To celebrate being disaster ready, Bundaberg Regional Council is giving residents the chance to win a night out at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.

As part of the competition, residents are encouraged to register for the Disaster Dashboard alerts system to be prepared for severe weather events.

The Disaster Dashboard is a one-stop-shop for weather related emergencies and provides information on weather warnings, local road closures and power outages.

Having an emergency plan is a vital step to being prepared for severe weather and the recently added Disaster Dashboard alerts system is a valuable planning tool.

The system allows residents to register and receive emergency news, weather warnings and flood notifications straight to their phone or email.

There are options to receive alerts for specific suburbs and river heights allowing residents to tailor the alerts to their area and needs.

By registering for the alerts system, residents go into the draw to win four tickets to any eligible Moncrieff Entertainment Centre show, gourmet food packs and a candy bar voucher worth over $230.

The competition closes on 15 March 2023, terms and conditions apply.
