Social triples and two competition games thrown in for good measure!
Competition Games:
Ladies first:
A great Ladies Opean Singles game between two of our top Lady Bowlers, Meredith Taylor and Robyn Bishop.
What a game, Meredith ran out to an early lead until the ninth end when Robyn reeled her back to 8/7, Meredith wasn’t having that and retook the lead 9/8 on the eleventh end.
Meredith raced away to be leading 22/18  on the twenty fifth end!
Robyn always the quiet achiever wasn’t giving in at any cost and fought her way back to 22/22 on the twenty eighth end.
Both bowlers suffering in the heat and humidity fought it out 23/22 then 26/22 to Meredith in the thirtieth end!
What a marathon performance, some great bowls played and a lesson to all of us in sheer perseverance!
Thanks to Gloria Newby who marked the match.
Mens Open Pairs:
Dennis Dean and Rowdy Taylor against Rob Anderson and Bob Menadue.
Rowdy and Dennis had a convincing win over Rob and Bob in a game with lots of good bowls played.
