Residents of the Bundaberg Region will be able to come together to commemorate Anzac Day with a number of services being held on Tuesday 25 April.
A range of locations throughout the region will host events, from dawn services commencing at 4 am to memorial and civic services later in the day.
Bundaberg Regional Council Mayor Jack Dempsey said these services provided an opportunity for the community to pay its respects and honour those who fought for the freedom of this country.
“Anzac Day embodies the spirit of mateship and courage that is now intrinsically aligned with our identity and way of life,” he said.
“Across the region on this day, the community will come together to continue to honour the memory of those who have served and those who continue to serve.
“Lest we forget.”
There will be 13 dawn services and eight civic services and memorials held throughout the Bundaberg Region on Anzac Day, Tuesday 25 April.
More information on the services can be found in the online version of the Anzac Day 2022 booklet here.
The booklets are also available to pick up at Bundaberg Regional Council Customer Service Centre’s in Bundaberg, Gin Gin and Childers.
