Social Traders and The Social Deck are partnering together to hold a free Regional Social Enterprise Forum in Bundaberg on Tuesday 18 April.

Local social enterprises and for-purpose businesses looking to grow their procurement opportunities are invited to attend an upcoming Regional Social Enterprise Forum.

Social Traders and The Social Deck are partnering together to hold a free Regional Social Enterprise Forum in Bundaberg on Tuesday 18 April.

The Social Deck’s Martinique Diss said the forum would include a social procurement workshop, followed by a social enterprise showcase and networking opportunity.

Martinique said it was the first time the combined forum had been held in the Bundaberg Region.

“The workshop will take participants through a range of hands-on learning activities to help build their capability to effectively respond to government and private enterprise procurement opportunities,” she said.

“The showcase and networking will provide an opportunity to hear from local social enterprises on how they have navigated social procurement, along with sharing solutions.

“There is also an opportunity to network with other social enterprises.”

Martinique said SocialDeck was a for-purpose business specialising in strategic communications, stakeholder and community engagement, digital strategy, social marketing campaigns and evaluation.

“We provide consultancy services to government agencies, businesses, social enterprises and not-for-profits to help them achieve change,” she said.

Social Traders work collaboratively across the social enterprise sector to embed social enterprises into business and government supply chains.

“The workshops are part of a broader program – social procurement capability program – funded by the Queensland Government.

The Regional Social Enterprise Forum is supported and funded by the Queensland Government.
