Guests at this year’s Picnic in the Vines will settle in the charming atmosphere of Vintner’s Secret Vineyard as part of the Childers Festival.
Nestled among the lush vineyards the event promises an unforgettable day of relaxation, gourmet delights, and live entertainment, making it the perfect way to savour the essence of the Childers Festival.
Vintner’s Secret Vineyard owners Ed Murray and Marianne Lethbridge will ensure guests are entertained with lawn games dotted throughout the gardens and entertained by sounds of the Band of the 1st Regiment.
“The Band of the 1st Regiment will return as they came along last year and they were really great,” Ed said.
“Attendees enjoyed a good day last year and this year we are expecting the same, with beautiful Queensland weather.”
Using organic principles and practices, Ed and Marianne have transformed a hobby farm into a beautiful property with a European heritage charm.
The couple have created not only a vineyard but an orchard and several landscaped gardens, where Picnic in the Vines guests can enjoy the outdoor lifestyle, relax, and take in the unique opportunity to experience the rural charm and hospitality that Childers is famous for.
Set against the scenic backdrop of green rolling hills, Picnic in the Vines attendees can indulge in a curated selection of fine wines and delicious food in a pre-purchased hamper, or guests are welcome to pack their own picnic to bring along.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children.
BYO is not permitted.
While picnic benches and seating are available beneath the shady trees on the viewing deck, guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic blanket.
