IMPACT Community Services has welcomed Bernadette Williams to her new role as case manager with their National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) team.

In her new role, Bernie, as she is affectionately known, is the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking NDIS support at IMPACT.

She spends time truly getting to know the participants, listening to their unique needs and goals, and learning about the support they would like from IMPACT.

Bernie’s personalised approach ensures that each participant’s journey is met with empathy and expertise.

“I’ve been at IMPACT for just over three years now,” Bernie said.

“It’s so rewarding to see people achieving their goals and participating in the community.”

Bernie is committed to fostering strong, trust-based relationships.

She invests time matching each participant with the right support worker, taking into consideration shared interests, as well as the specialist skills and experiences of our dedicated team.

This approach helps to ensure that every participant receives the most compatible and effective support in an environment where strong relationships are built and achievements celebrated.

Jenna Morrish, IMPACT’s General Manager for Disability, Employment and Training, said she was confident that NDIS participants would benefit immensely from Bernie’s expertise and commitment to quality care.

NDIS participants seeking a positive change can connect with Bernie by calling 1800 179 233.

  1. Hopefully you will get them doing more jobsearches. 20 reduce by points down to as little as 4 a month is joke. If I’m looking I do 40/month with no deductions. I expect to be working in 3 – 6 months.

  2. What we should do is reach out to previous business owners who have shut down in the region to see if they would like to try again. Bundaberg & HerveyBay particular are so much bigger now with a far better unemployment rate & record tourist numbers. We should have significantly higher earnings as a whole because of the successful state we are in… Businesses that were not viable before might be much more viable now.

Maybe they were a causality of the GFC or floods or COVID? Know anyone? Our unemployment problem could be a thing of the past permanently if they can even hire 1 person each that’s a win.
