Make the most of the Milbi Festival by enjoying the exhibitions and events on offer at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery and the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.
Explore ‘The Gathering’ in Gallery One at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, a showcase of its collection of First Nations art from the past 25 years.
This exhibition was specially timed to coincide with the Milbi Festival and will feature artists like Dylan Sarra, Ron Hurley and Judith Inkamala.
Visitors to the gallery can also enjoy a site-specific installation running alongside ‘The Gathering’ called ‘My Bothways Identity’ in The Vault.
This solo installation has been created by esteemed First Nations artist Dr Pamela Croft and reflects her lived experience, guided by her training in both Aboriginal and Western traditional art forms.
Younger Milbi Festival goers can get involved by following the gallery trail to explore the different artworks in the exhibition.
Children aged three to seven can also head to the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre for an interactive sing-along show with Proudfoot and Friends on 2 November.
Award-winning children’s performer Lucas Proudfoot will bring his cast of unforgettable characters to life using state-of-the-art digital puppeteering and choreographed animated projections.
