The sound of Christmas carols is already starting to fill the air across Bundaberg as local schools invite the community to join in Carols on the Oval.
Students have been practising for the Carols on the Oval which will be held this Friday, 15 November.
This cherished tradition is growing in popularity each year and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
Hosted by Bundaberg State High School in collaboration with Branyan Road State School, Norville State School and Walkervale State School, the festive evening will take place on the Bundaberg State High School junior oval, located near Walker Street.
The fun begins at 5 pm, when the gates open and families can enter for a gold coin donation, attendees will receive a program for the event.
There will be plenty to enjoy, including a continuous raffle, glow sticks and a delicious sausage sizzle.
Cash is preferred for payments, but there will also be an EFTPOS machine available on-site.
Carolling will commence at 5.45 pm and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets or cushions, for seating if they prefer not to sit directly on the oval.
In the event of rain, the carols will move to the covered area under the school’s three-storey library, accessible via the same entry gate, just to the right.
This community event is open to everyone in the Bundaberg Region and organisers are excited to welcome families from near and far to sing along to their favourite Christmas carols.
Don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to celebrate the season with your friends and neighbours.
