Thank you to all members and visitors that turned up to play as the weather cleared and a good afternoon was had by all. Big thank you to the Whalley family for their sponsorship of the day with many great bowls prizes and 21 raffle prizes resulting in many players/supporters going home with a prize.
COMPETITION
Nomination sheets for the 2025 Championship Singles, Pairs and Fours as well as the Mixed Pairs are on the Noticeboard with some games being called in January. Nominations for the Fours closes on Tuesday the 14th of January with Round 1 being played on Saturday the 18th of January and Round 2 being played on Saturday the 1st of February.
Nominations for the Championship Singles, Pairs and Mixed Pairs will close on Saturday the 18th of January, so please start organising your teams and nominate on the sheets provided.

Visitors are most welcome on all playing days. Entry sheets are at the club or phone the Club on 41514217 during opening hours. If you cannot get through to the club number regarding bowls, then please phone 0403531304.

Thursday 19th December: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot which will be $739+ this week. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.
Friday 20th December: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.30pm for a 1 pm start.
Saturday 21st December: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.30pm for a 1 pm start.
2024 Men’s AGM – New Committee
Congratulations to the following members for being elected to the Men’s Bowls section 2025 Management Committee. President: Dave Rye, Vice President: Josh Gott, Secretary: Vacant, Assistant Secretary: Theo Poelstra, Finance Officer: Dave Rye, Games Director: Keith Whalley, Assistant Games Director: Daniel Stanton-Cook, Committee Members – Dick Shield, Vince Rush. Selectors: Keith Whalley, Rob Swallow, Darryl Austin (Pending).
The above Committee has been elected by the members and are volunteers, so could all members please support the new Committee in helping move the Club forward in 2025. If you have any concerns/issues regarding the Men’s Bowls section, then please feel free to speak to any of the new Committee members and it will be addressed at the next monthly meeting.

CLUB NEWS
Club opening hours: Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 11.00am – 9.30pm, Thursday 2.00pm – 9.30pm, Friday 10.00am – 9.30pm, Saturday 10.00am – 6pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2.00pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night 20th December at 7pm – Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased during the week from the Bar staff or on Friday night. There are 15 great prizes to be won – you need to be in it to win it! Proceeds from the raffle help to support your Club.
The Member’s Draw will also be held on Friday night 20th December and stands at $240, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
There will be live entertainment on Friday 20th December presented by ‘The Other Bloke’ and the following Friday 27th December entertainment will be provided by TBA. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.

Well nothing stops our men, hearty bunch that they are, dull overcast day with a few misty showers.
However that didn’t stop our men from enjoying an afternoon out on the green and the company of their mates!
