Families across Bundaberg are invited to come together for a day of fun, entertainment, and community connection at Flourish Family Fun Day.

Taking place on Thursday, 3 July from 9 am to 1 pm at Alexander Park the annual, all-inclusive event celebrates and acknowledges the diversity of families in the region.

Designed for all ages, Flourish Family Fun Day features a variety of free entertainment, interactive displays, and engaging activities provided by family-friendly businesses and services in Bundaberg.

Flourish Family Fun Day is proudly hosted by the Family and Baby Network (FAB), in partnership with Bundaberg Neighbourhood Centre and support from a dedicated working group including:

● C&K Community Kindergarten

● Bundaberg Regional Council

● Wide Bay Kids

● Wide Bay Health and Hospital Service

● Carinbundi Kids Family Day Care

● Port Curtis Coral Coast (PCCC)

“Flourish Family Fun Day is all about creating a safe, inclusive space where families from all walks of life can come together, have fun, and connect with local services and each other,” Family and Baby Network Chair Gayle Reynolds said.

“It’s an important celebration of community, and we are thrilled to see it grow each year with strong support from the local community”

This all-inclusive, family-friendly event features:

● Interactive displays from local businesses, playgroups, daycares, and creative therapy services.

● Live entertainment with singing, dancing, storytelling, and performances on the main stage.

● Food, coffee, and drinks available for purchase throughout the day.

● This year’s theme: Teddy Bears Picnic! Families are encouraged to bring their favourite teddy to take part in the Teddy Bears Parade.

Bundaberg Neighbourhood Centre Manager Corrie McColl added the event was about more than entertainment.

“It’s about connecting families with the information, resources, and services they need to live happy and healthy lives,” he said.

“We encourage local businesses and organisations to get involved and help make the day a meaningful
experience for everyone.”

In addition to the festivities, Welcome Baby Celebration will take place from 9 am to 10 am.

This special ceremony provides new parents with an opportunity to celebrate their baby’s place in the Bundaberg Region community.

Each participating family will receive a specially prepared pack and certificate from the Mayor of Bundaberg.
