Big Bear is an 11 month old Great Dane cross Catahoula looking for a home at Red Collar Rescue.

Bear was in extreme pain when he was picked up from the pound, suffering from entropion which is a painful condition where the eyelids fold in toward the eye ball.

Red Collar Rescue immediately organised surgery and he is now pain free, ready to find his forever home.

There are no issues with his eyes and he has been given a pass at his recent health check.

Bear was described as a sweetheart from day one, he has a cheeky, playful personality and like most big dogs, likes to lean into you.

He has low to medium energy so would suit people who aren’t super active.

Having said that, he still enjoys a romp around to check out all the new smells.

Bear hasn’t been introduced to other dogs yet but is said to suit most homes, he is a big boy and will need someone physically strong enough to walk him.
