How to: identify an invasive plant species

Invasive plants pose a serious risk. You can report a suspected weed by contacting Council’s Biosecurity Officers.
Invasive plants targeted for control in the Bundaberg Region due to serious environmental, economic, and social impacts are Easter Cassia (pictured), Leucaena, Cocos palms and Brazilian cherry.

Invasive plants pose a serious environmental, economic and social risk to the Bundaberg region.

To assist Council’s Biosecurity Officers, it is important that landholders can identity invasive species on their property and replace them with more appropriate options.

You can report a suspected weed on your property by contacting Council’s Biosecurity Officers on 1300 883 699.

  1. Hi. The invasive weeds app does not allow me to install, sadly my phone is too new …it’s an Android Samsung S23FE. Not that new. Will you be upgrading the app to accommodate more installations?
